Food Plots
Food Plot Management
Here at Ohio Trophy Whitetail Outfitters food plots are a key aspect of your hunting experience, we work very hard and spare no expense when it comes to giving our deer herd the proper amount and variety of quality nutrition. Over the last ten years all of our trophy buck harvest have been a direct result of excellent food plot preparation. In the early season, green fields such as clover, buck forage oats and rape are a great attractant and good place to see many deer feeding and interacting with one another.
During the rut we like to set up on ridges and thick areas next to our large plots and sometimes hunt on the plot with a decoy, some of the largest bucks have been harvested using decoys on green food plots. Our late season hunts are over standing beans and corn, OTWO late season hunts are second to none and quality food plot preparation is why, Jason’s favorite hunts take place in late December and January, every year some of the largest deer of the year show up to eat standing beans and corn and football size turnips.
Here at OTWO we don’t hunt over feeders, we keep the food as natural as we can, this in our opinion makes for a better hunt. If you have never hunted a quality food plot, then you definitely need to give Jason a call and we can make it happen for you!
